The VCSS operates year round primarily in Pismo Beach, Shell Beach, Avila Beach and Morro Bay, but they encompass some of the best surf spots on all of the Central California Coast.

Lessons are scheduled by reservation only. They schedule around the ocean tide and swell conditions. When you schedule a lesson we will give specific directions to where the conditions will be best for the day of your lesson and where to meet your instructor.

All instructors are personally trained by Van Curaza, and are CPR and first-aid certified.
